Buying a pair of skis on the deck of a ship. Now there's a crazy idea! And yet Tintin and Snowy did. Just think...
In Cigars of the Pharaoh, after narrowly escaping certain drowning, the two heroes meet another passenger. A singular character by the name of Oliveira da Figueira.
Figurehead... Or rather, the head of the street vendor. This friendly Portuguese merchant perfectly embodies the stereotype of the travelling salesman. The man is talented. He's even very convincing. In fact, his sales pitch is so persuasive that the two innocent survivors leave with their hands full, laden with unusual objects and gadgets of all kinds.
This hilarious scene is now the subject of two new figurines. These reproductions, limited to 1.000 pieces, are faithful in every respect to vignette C2 on illustration plate 22 of the first edition of Cigars of the Pharaoh.
The black and white version (inspired by the original edition of the adventure) places Tintin and Snowy close to the railings, while the colourised version (inspired by the 2022 colourised edition) focuses on the characters and their recent acquisitions.
Each copy comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity to guarantee its exclusivity.
