Flight 714
Flight 714 was first published in 1968, 5 years after The Castafiore Emerald. The books had been published for several years in the same format as they are today, with a printed spine and glossy back cover.
No meaningful corrections were made to the book. However, the original version does have some particularities. Flight 714 is about Good versus Evil. Tintin and his friends are once again faced with old enemies Rastapopoulos and Allan. Readers were surprised by the story's ending. The arrival of aliens contrasted with Hergé's usual search for realism.

It is strange that today Casterman have opted for a cloth spine, instead of the printed one in which it was first published.
