"Be gallant, make room for ladies"
This Monday 8th March is International Women's Rights Day. This day is an opportunity to highlight the achievements of women's rights, but also to make their claimings heard. Among other causes, they speak out for equality, against violence and stereotypes.
On March 21st 1951, in Le Journal Tintin, on page 12, girls take power. They asked to be present in the newspaper and to have their own section. Hergé illustrated this moment with a very beautiful illustration made in Chinese ink and watercolours, entitled Soyez galants, faites une place aux dames.

Peggy Alcazar is also a woman of strong character.
