Blistering Barnacles! We're talking about the Captain's ancestors...
For several days now, the media have been relaying the news. An ad hoc grave... er, Haddock, has been classified as a historic monument in England.
For those who don't already know, the tomb of Mary Anna Haddock (who died in Essex in 1688) - the mother of Admiral Sir Richard Haddock, who inspired Hergé to create his truculent sailor of the same name - has just been classified a historic monument by the experts at Historic England.
