A thought for Hergé
Forty-two years ago, Georges Remi – alias Hergé – passed away.
This special day is an opportunity to pay tribute to a creative genius who left his mark on generations of readers, as much for his talent as a storyteller as for his innovative approach to drawing.
With his famous ‘clear line’, he perfectly combined imagination, a taste for risk, humour and humanity. As a result, Tintin, his little hero with a big heart, quickly became a universal character.
The success of his work is such that it continues to transcend cultures and eras. As a result, Hergé's name is forever enshrined in the history of popular culture.
