A 1964 film by Ray Goossens Strange things are happening in the evening at Marlinspike Hall. Windows, glass, mirrors and vases break without any apparent reason. Professor Calculus, somewhat apathetic to the whole series of events, reveals that his latest invention is the cause of these unsettling incidents. Foreign powers get wind of Calculus' work and realising the destructive potential of Calculus' machine, kidnap him in hopes of forcing Calculus to perfect his machine for them. In pursuit, Tintin, Snowy, Captain Haddock and the detectives Thomson and Thompson go head to head with the warring nations of Syldavia and Boduria to bring Calculus to safety. This full length animated film is based on the classic graphic novel of the same name by Hergé.
