Sattouf - Saint-Exupéry, a unique dialogue to discover at the Hergé Museum
From 14th February 2026, the Hergé Museum will highlight a unique dialogue between Riad Sattouf and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry – two great storytellers of the 20th and 21st centuries – united by the same taste for storytelling, travel and human exploration.
With a perspective shaped by childhood, sincerity and a deeply human sensitivity, Riad Sattouf offers a contemporary and respectful interpretation of Saint-Exupéry's work. His drawings enhance the major themes of the story, such as the almost mystical determination of the Aéropostale pilots, the immensity of the desert, brotherly friendship, confrontation with death, the melancholy of existence and wonder at the raw beauty of nature.
The exhibition is enriched by rare archives relating to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and the original publication of Terre des hommes in 1939: manuscripts, letters, photographs and original editions, as well as documents relating to the Paris-Saigon air race of 1935. These historical pieces shed light on the genesis of the work and reinforce its human and poetic dimension.
This event is organised by Éditions Gallimard, in collaboration with Livres du futur, the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Estate and the Charles VII Museum in Mehun-sur-Yèvre.
