An unmissable date!
The 22nd of May is approaching. It is a significant date for all Tintin fans, who, on that day, will celebrate a symbolic double anniversary, the birth of Hergé (born on 22nd May 1907) and the opening of the Hergé Museum on 22nd May 2009. Two closely related dates, which recall both the colossal artistic legacy left by Georges Remi and the desire to preserve, transmit and celebrate his work.
During the last 17 years, the Hergé Museum has established itself as an unmissable place for comic strip book enthusiasts, curious people and lovers of visual culture. To simultaneously honour the man and the institution dedicated to him is to recognize the lasting impact of his work, his international influence and the modernity of his perspective.
This double anniversary is the ideal opportunity to revisit his career, rediscover his creations and measure how much the world of Hergé continues to inspire every generation.
That is why, from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th May, admission will be completely free for anyone coming in disguise... as Tintin, Captain Haddock, Bianca Castafiore, the Thom(p)sons, or any other character from The Adventures of Tintin. A fun and festive way to pay tribute to one of the greatest comic strip book authors of the 20th century.
Come in large numbers... and in costume!
