Le projet Artichoke était un programme de recherche de la CIA sur les techniques d'interrogatoire. Ce projet est l’héritier du projet Bluebird, qui avait abouti, entre autres, à des expérimentations humaines sous LSD. Ce projet démarre le 20 août 1951 pour se terminer le 20 avril 1963, date à laquelle il devient le projet MK-Ultra.
